alFACES™ Cleanse is a highly concentrated, sulfate-free foaming cleanser. Containing Retinyl Palmitate (vitamin A), Ascorbyl Palmitate (vitamin C), and Tocopheryl Acectate (vitamin E). This anti-oxidant rich formula is Ph-balanced making it suitable for all skin types; especially dry sensitive skin, eczema, and rosacea.

Retinol (vitamin A) is available in many forms and has been studied at great length for topical treatment for photodamage and acne. The conversion of retinol to retinyl palmitate is believed to occur via retinyl esterase activities occuring in a number of subcelluar locations and through non-specific esterases, which are abundant in the skin. Once known for its relatively weak activity profile, retinyl palmitate, unlike many of the other retinols, is nonirritating making it an ideal formulation of Vitamin A for a virtually all skin types.

Vitamin C is a naturally occurring antioxidant often incorporated into cosmeceuticals for prevention and treatment of sun damage to skin. Because of the limited amount of vitamin C that resides in the skin from oral ingestion, it has become a popular ingredient in the topical form for cosmeceuticals. Ascorbyl palmitate is one or the more stable compounds of vitamin C and is easily transported into the cells where it functions as an antioxidant. Ascorbyl palmitate was included in this product for also has a neutral Ph making it ideal for topical application on various skin types.

Vitamin E is one of the most frequently used ingredients in cosmeceuticals. It is among the early recognized antioxidants. The four tocopherols and four tocotrienols are naturally occurring molecules that are collectively known as ‘vitamin E.’ It has been hypothesized and appears that tocopherols, even in rinse-off products like alFACES™ Cleanse, increase levels of vitamin E in the stratum corneum of human skin. Additionally, it appears that co-antioxidants, including vitamin C, may have a synergistic effect by helping to improve the stability and antioxidant effects of vitamin E.

alFACES™ Moisturize is a hydrating moisturizer with a unique delivery system that helps defend the skin barrier against environmental agents that cause aging and irritation. By helping to repair and minimize fine lines, skin elasticity and texture improve when alFACES™ Moisturize used as directed.

Cyclopentasilonane and Limnanthes alba
You no longer have to choose between a heavy cream to hydrate your skin or a lighter feeling cream that may actually dry the skin due to its high water content. From a cosmetic elegance stand point, the cyclopentasiloxane gives alFACES™ Moisturize the silky feeling sought by customers while the limnanthes alba provides the clinical component preventing TEWL (trans-epidermal water loss) which is important in maintaining the moisture necessary for healthy skin.

Punica Grantum, Squalane, and Tocopheryl Acetate are all antioxidants that alFACES™ Moisturize contains to help protect all types of skin from oxidated stress generated by daily sunlight and pollution to which our skin is exposed.

alFACES™ Decrease is an innovative formula that works to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Application to targeted areas (i.e. eyes, forehead, mouth, or neck) or the entire face dramatically decreases the effects of aging.

Ubiquinone (coenzyme Q10)
This anti-aging wrinkle cream contains ubiquinone, more commonly known as coenzyme Q10. This antioxidant both slows cell division as well as retards the loss of hylauronic acid, thus decreasing the signs of skin aging. Some dermatologists claim ubiquinone actually improves collagen and elastin.

Palmitoyl, Tribehenin,and Peg 10 Rapseed
Like Palmitoyl, probably best known for being an ingredient in Strivectin™, each of these components have received a claim for their abilities to either improve or increase collagen production in the skin.

Ceratonia and Hydrolyzed Wheat Gluten
Skin tightening ingredients are essential for anti-wrinkle creams. Ceratonia and Hydrolyzed Wheat Gluten are believed to work to tighten skin alFACES™ Decrease.

Allantoin
